We're partnering with a leading defence technology business to recruit a Trade Compliance Officer to join their UK Legal & Compliance team.

This is a genuinely varied role where you'll work across Engineering, Projects, Operations and Legal, ensuring complex defence products and technology remain compliant throughout their lifecycle.

This is a standalone role, you'll become the go-to person for trade compliance across the business, supporting major programmes while helping shape internal processes and compliance standards.

The Role?

• Managing UK Export Licensing (SIELs, OIELs & OGELs)
• Advising on UK Export Control Regulations, Customs and International Trade Compliance
• Supporting compliance with UK, EU and US regulations including ITAR and EAR
• Preparing export licence applications and maintaining licence compliance
• Conducting internal audits and compliance reviews
• Delivering Export Control and Trade Compliance training
• Managing sanctions screening, denied party screening and end-user due diligence
• Working alongside Engineering and Project teams to classify products and technology correctly

About you?
Circa 5 years' experience within Trade Compliance or Export Control
Strong knowledge of UK Export Licensing and Customs Regulations
Experience working with ITAR, EAR and international trade regulations
Previous experience within Defence, Aerospace, Engineering or another highly regulated environment
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
