The Firm

What if you could join a firm where the work is already there, your expertise is trusted, and your career progression is limited only by your ambition?

This long-established Leicestershire practice has been serving its local community for over a century and has built an exceptional reputation for client care, professionalism and quality legal advice. The Residential Property Department enjoys deep ties within the local market, generating a steady flow of repeat business, referrals and instructions from longstanding relationships developed over decades.

The firm combines traditional values with a modern outlook, offering a supportive environment where lawyers are empowered to manage their work without unnecessary oversight. With succession planning firmly on the agenda, this is a genuine opportunity for an experienced conveyancer to play a significant role in the future of the department and potentially the wider firm.

The Role

  • Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion
  • Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Deal with transfers of equity and remortgages
  • New build experience is welcomed but not essential
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Deliver a high standard of client care throughout the transaction process
  • Work closely with colleagues within a collaborative and supportive team
  • Optional involvement in networking and business development activities for those who enjoy it

You

  • Significant experience managing a full residential conveyancing caseload independently
  • Strong technical knowledge across freehold and leasehold transactions
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of files
  • New build experience would be advantageous but is not required
  • Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced fee earner considered

Have you reached the stage of your career where you're looking for greater trust, more flexibility and a realistic pathway to Partnership rather than empty promises? If so, this opportunity could be exactly what you've been waiting for.

Would you thrive in an environment where you're trusted to do what you do best, supported when needed, but never micromanaged? Then you'll fit right in.

Benefits

  • Salary of £35,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
  • Genuine Partnership potential
  • 29 days holiday entitlement
  • 26 days annual leave plus 3 additional days during the Christmas closure period
  • Life Assurance scheme providing 4x annual salary
  • Free parking
  • Flexible working hours considered
  • Hybrid working arrangements considered
  • Established caseload and consistent workflow
  • Strong local reputation and loyal client base
  • Supportive and approachable leadership team
  • High levels of autonomy and trust
  • No micromanagement culture
  • Long-term career progression within a respected and stable firm

The best career moves aren't always about moving to a bigger firm. Sometimes they're about finding the right firm.

If you're looking for progression, stability, autonomy and the chance to become a key figure within a highly respected local practice, contact Toby Ryan at QED Legal today and start a conversation that could shape the next chapter of your career.
