Senior Employment Lawyer - 4+PQE
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
We are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Employment Lawyer to join a leading national law firm’s highly regarded Employment team, with the role able to be based in either Newcastle, Leeds or Manchester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nationally recognised team that advises a broad range of household-name and major UK employers on the full spectrum of employment law matters. The team has ambitious growth plans and offers strong long-term progression opportunities for the right individual.
The role will involve:
- Managing a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Advising on redundancy, disciplinaries, grievances, whistleblowing and discrimination matters
- Defending Employment Tribunal claims
- Supporting corporate transactions, including TUPE advice
- Drafting senior executive service agreements and related documentation
- Advising on restructuring and change management projects
- Supporting business development initiatives, networking and client training
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 4+ years’ PQE in employment law
- Strong technical and commercial knowledge
- Experience managing their own caseload
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A collaborative approach and desire to be part of a growing team
- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience would be advantageous
