Description
If you’re an English-qualified Private Client solicitor looking for something bigger, better and genuinely career-defining, this is your moment.
An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join one of the true heavyweights of the legal market and become part of a nationally renowned Private Client team that is widely regarded as one of the largest and most accomplished in the country. Based in Edinburgh, this is a chance to embed yourself in a top-tier environment while working alongside recognised experts who act for an impressive and diverse client base, including a significant number of high-net-worth individuals.
You will focus on English private client matters, advising on English Wills, Powers of Attorney, trust structures and estate administration. The quality of work is consistently high and often complex, with plenty of opportunity to collaborate across the wider business on sophisticated planning and structuring matters. This is not a narrow, siloed role — it’s a position that offers genuine breadth and the chance to build deep technical expertise within a supportive and high-performing team.
Whether you are newly qualified and ready to carve out your career within a leading practice, or a more experienced solicitor seeking a strategic next move, this team provides the platform to elevate your profile. You will be surrounded by technically exceptional colleagues who are generous with their knowledge and committed to collective success. Expect intellectually stimulating work, meaningful client contact and the opportunity to play a visible role in a growing and ambitious practice.
The firm is seeking an English-qualified solicitor with outstanding client-facing skills, strong commercial awareness and the enthusiasm to engage in business development initiatives. STEP qualification would be advantageous, but it is not essential — full support will be provided to achieve STEP status if desired.
The role is Edinburgh-based, offering the benefits of being part of a major legal hub, but there may also be scope for remote working for candidates based in the North East of England. A competitive salary, generous and flexible benefits package and hybrid working options (following an initial settling-in period) complete what is a very attractive proposition.
If you’re ready to take your private client career to the next level within a market-leading team, I’d be delighted to have a confidential conversation.
