Description
Housing Solicitor
Award Winning Social Welfare Team | Chambers & Legal 500 Firm & Team
I am working with an award winning and highly respected London firm with a long standing reputation for excellence in social welfare law. Consistently recognised by Chambers UK, The Legal 500 and The Times Top 250 Law Firms, the firm is known for combining outstanding legal expertise with a genuinely supportive and people focused culture.
The firm has been named one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work and offers a collaborative, inclusive environment where solicitors are supported to thrive. A clear Career Development Programme maps out a route to partnership, and progression is actively encouraged.
The firm is now seeking to recruit a Housing Solicitor with at least one year of post qualification experience to join its highly regarded Social Welfare Department. The team undertakes housing, community care, public law and Court of Protection welfare work and is recognised by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500 for its strength in housing law.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and award winning team handling a broad and interesting caseload, including possession claims, homelessness, disrepair, poor housing conditions and judicial review matters. You will primarily focus on housing work, with the option to gain exposure to community care, public law and Court of Protection matters if desired. The firm is currently unable to meet demand for its housing services, offering genuine scope to grow and develop this area of practice.
The firm offers flexibility and provides a supportive structure with strong supervision, paralegal and trainee support, regular internal training and knowledge sharing.
The firm is keen to speak with solicitors who have at least one year of PQE in housing law, a good understanding of legal aid and CCMS, and a strong commitment to access to justice. Experience of privately funded work is welcomed. You will be a confident communicator, able to manage your own caseload and work effectively within a collaborative team.
A competitive salary is offered, alongside an excellent benefits package including generous annual leave, bonus scheme, health cashback plan, wellbeing initiatives and a structured career development programme.
