I am working with a friendly, expanding and highly regarded full-service practice in North London. This Legal 500-recognised firm is known for its strong reputation, supportive culture and longstanding client relationships. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Lawyer to join its successful residential property team.

The Role The successful candidate will manage their own varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, supported by an experienced administrative team and modern systems. Work will include sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, new builds, shared ownership, Help to Buy, Right to Buy, remortgages, transfers of equity and lease extensions.

You will play a key role in delivering an excellent client experience while ensuring adherence to the firm’s compliance procedures and the Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a full caseload from instruction through to completion
• Handling sales and purchases of freehold/leasehold properties, new builds, shared ownership, Help to Buy and Right to Buy
• Managing remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions and leasehold management packs
• Drafting and negotiating deeds of covenant, licences and related documents
• Completing AML checks, client due diligence and source of funds/wealth enquiries
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and third parties
• Collaborating with colleagues across departments when matters overlap
• Supporting business development, including occasional attendance at networking and social events
• Ensuring accurate time recording and document management via the firm’s case management system
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in residential property law and supporting the firm’s CQS accreditation
• Identifying cross-selling opportunities, such as wills and estate planning services

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with solid residential conveyancing experience
• Excellent organisation, administration and communication skills
• Confident in managing a busy caseload with a high level of accuracy
• A collaborative, approachable team player
• Strong client care skills and the ability to develop lasting relationships
