NQ Solicitor – Banking & Property Litigation
(Open to Property Litigation, Debt Recovery, Unsecured Litigation & Defence/Counterclaim/Appeals Experience)
A well-established national law firm with a market-leading lender services offering is looking to appoint a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join its specialist Banking & Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious NQ to develop a rare and highly sought-after skillset in both property-related disputes and technical banking litigation.
The team is particularly keen to meet candidates based in the North East.
The Role This position offers outstanding exposure to complex work from day one, supported by experienced Partners and Senior Associates in a close-knit, collaborative team. You will handle a diverse caseload, with a strong emphasis on:
- Title rectification
- Boundary and title discrepancy matters
- Property litigation arising in lender contexts
- Repossession-linked issues interacting with conveyancing
- Lease extension and security-related matters as lenders become increasingly cautious
- More complex banking and mortgage litigation escalated from the firm’s volume teams
You will gain hands-on responsibility early, with the training, supervision and support needed to develop your technical knowledge rapidly.

- Property Litigation
- Debt Recovery
- Unsecured Litigation
- General Commercial Litigation
- Experience dealing with defences, counterclaims, or appeals
You don’t need prior banking litigation experience—just strong litigation fundamentals, good technical ability, and a genuine interest in building a niche specialism.
