Legal Support Assistant – Stamford – £24,000 to £26,000

The role
- Scanning incoming post and completing photocopying tasks as directed
- Closing files following established office procedures
- Carrying out general office duties as required throughout the day
- Ensuring photocopiers are stocked with paper and functioning correctly
- Monitoring and maintaining stationery supplies
- Supporting project work including managing wills, deeds and file storage
- Retrieving wills, deeds and archived files when needed
- Typing from manual documents, digital dictation or voice recognition
- Assisting with ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Providing support to reception, including:
- Holiday and absence cover
- Preparing refreshments for meetings
- Collecting, opening and distributing incoming mail
- Delivering and collecting documents from nearby businesses
- Franking outgoing mail
- Answering calls and greeting clients
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced office environment Does a role with lots of variety and daily interaction appeal to you?
You
- GCSEs at grade C or above
- Confident using Microsoft Office software
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-organised and structured in your approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to touch type
- Proactive, reliable and adaptable
- A genuine team player
- (Desirable) Law degree
- (Desirable) Previous experience within a legal practice
- (Desirable) Familiarity with case management systems
