Compliance Officer
Exeter / Torquay

We're currently working with a fabulous leading South West Law firm lookingfor someone to join their growing firm as Compliance Officer. Supporting the partners currently leading on compliance and supporting with the day to day.

They're looking for a true generalist to cover every aspect of compliance.

The Role?

• Promoting best practice across the firm
• Reviewing and improving processes, procedures & controls
• Escalating breaches/issues and providing clear recommendations
• Drafting & updating template documents
• Running compliance checks and creating/delivering staff training
• Supporting annual risk reviews (conflicts, AML, money laundering, general risk)
• Preparing for external audits & accreditations (e.g. Lexcel, SRA, CQS)
• Monitoring supervisory meetings, file reviews & mentoring supervisors

About you?

Experience in Compliance specifically in a law firm
Strong knowledge of AML legislation & SRA Codes of Conduct
Excellent communication 
Highly organised, proactive and deadline-driven
