We have a fabulous opportunity for a Senior AML Risk & Compliance Analyst to join a global law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based in Sheffield, this role offers flexible hybrid working and the chance to work within a dynamic, forward-thinking risk and compliance team.
As a Senior Analyst within the Risk & Compliance team, you will play a key role in ensuring regulatory standards are met across client due diligence (CDD), anti-money laundering (AML), and reputational risk frameworks. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business and take ownership of compliance workflows.
The Role:
- Conduct CDD on new and existing clients/matters with a focus on AML, sanctions, and reputational risk.
- Carry out client and matter risk assessments considering jurisdictions, regulatory standing, and commercial activity.
- Perform company checks and screenings for PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media.
- Own and manage the AML process, escalating high-risk issues appropriately.
- Maintain and manage accurate client data in internal finance systems.
- Respond to compliance and regulatory enquiries from internal teams.
About You:

- Experience in AML Risk and Compliance (Ideally within a law firm)
- Keen interest in compliance, regulation, and financial crime risk.
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Analytical mindset with sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
