A pre-eminent top tier Legal 500 listed international commercial practice wishes to appoint an additional Employment Paralegal to its highly rated Employment Team which is based in the heart of Birmingham city centre.
This firm is a very highly regarded full service international law firm and has a deserved reputation as being a major heavyweight. It prides itself on providing a first-class service and is able to boast a level of technical excellence that is second to none. The firm acts for a stellar client base comprising multi-national corporations and FTSE 100 companies on both a national and international basis.
The Employment Team here is at the forefront of the sector and regularly acts on highly complex contentious employment matters that can evolve the law and which also have significant implications to the firms' client base which is just one of the reasons why the teams' members are renowned for their specialist expertise in the sector.
The firm is now seeking to hire a further employment paralegal who has experience of working on contentious matters acting primarily on behalf of respondent clients. You will handle your own small caseload of contentious employment matters such as unfair dismissals, discrimination claims and advising on grievances. In addition, you will also provide support and assistance to more senior members of the team on complex and challenging cases.
You will ideally have a minimum of 12 months' experience of working in a similar role at either a national or a regional practice. You will have completed the LPC of the BVC or be in the process of doing so but what is important is that you are enthusiastic about forging a career within the employment sector and that you have the desire to really improve your technical skills whilst also being able to provide a first-class client service.
What makes this role different to those at competitor firms is the agile working policy in operation which can be tailored to your needs. In addition, the firm has a very strong focus on professional development so you will certainly enhance your skills swiftly by being able to work alongside experts in this area of law. Crucially, a tenure at this firm will significantly strengthen any training contract applications you make in the future, both internally or externally.
This is an ideal opportunity for those seeking to take their career to the next level. The remuneration package is excellent for this level and there is potential to progress through the firm's structure meaning that long term career desires can be met. Benefits include 25 days holiday, life insurance, private health care insurance and also travel loan schemes.
