You need to be able to trust your consultant and also feel comfortable discussing anything in your professional or personal life that you think is relevant without worrying if it is the right thing to do. You also want people to return your calls, be pleasant and non-pressurising at all times. QED Legal ticks all of these vital boxes.

An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as “thus it is demonstrated” or “that which was to be demonstrated”. It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as “Quite Easily Done”.

As a legal recruitment agency you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. Toby Williamson

Toby qualified as a Solicitor in 1997 after completing a training contract with leading Legal 500 regional practice KBL. In 1999 he made the step into legal recruitment as the founding Partner of G2 Legal, which he built into the largest regional legal recruitment business in the UK. After 13 years at the helm he decided to explore new horizons and set up QED Legal in summer 2012. Toby has extensive knowledge of the legal recruitment market at a local and national level. He has trained up over 100 legal recruitment consultants and has run and managed teams in multiple geographical locations. In addition to recruiting lawyers from partner level down Toby has taken the lead role in presentations and pitches to secure preferred supplier status for his company with law firms.

Jemma Carter

Jemma has extensive recruitment experience dating back to 2005. Lisa Hibbert

Lisa qualified as a Solicitor in 1997 after completing her training contract with a leading regional practice. She moved shortly after qualification to leading Legal 500 practice Stephensons where she specialised in family law. In 2006 Lisa moved to Legal 500 practice MLP as head of the family department and a Partner specialising in high net worth ancillary relief cases. She made the move into professional recruitment by establishing QED Legal in the summer of 2012.
