Commercial Litigation Solicitor - Boutique Practice
A specialist Legal 500 listed boutique litigation practice is undergoing a period of expansion and is now looking to appoint an additional Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join is highly rated team.
Based to the north of Birmingham, this firm is a well regarded litigation outfit that punches well above its weight and often finds itself crossing swords with both national and international practices. The firm acts on behalf of a very broad client base which includes both blue chip and Plc companies, financial institutions and household name companies through to representing professionals such as lawyers, accountants and very successful businessmen and entrepreneurs.
The firm is keen to speak with a commercial litigation solicitor from NQ level up to around 3 years' PQE. If an NQ, you will have undertaken a seat within commercial litigation and will ideally have gained pre-litigation experience in the sector as a paralegal. You will be exposed to a varied caseload which will comprise breach of contract claims, director, shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence and some insolvency litigation matters. In addition, there will also be the opportunity to deal with some contentious probate matters.
You will deal with cases from inception through to completion and you will also be afforded the opportunity to assist on much higher value and technically complex matters that are proceeding in the higher Courts and which involve interesting subject matter such as emergency injunctions and winding up petitions.
This is the perfect opportunity for those who are looking to forge a career within the commercial litigation sector but who want to work at a smaller, specialist practice where the supervision and development is excellent and where there is a less rigid and compartmentalised structure which is often the case at the larger national and international practices. You will also be expected to take advantage of a transparent and defined progression path with the only barrier to progressing through the firm being limited by your own ambition.
The firm is offering a very competitive salary and benefits package which includes parking facilities, a bonus scheme and health insurance but what really sets this role apart is the quality of work you will be exposed to from day one.
