The Firm
A Legal 500 firm established across the southern counties with several offices across Sussex and Kent. The firm advise both private and commercial clients and has a reputation for providing ongoing professional support and development, flexibility in working hours and generally a professional and very down to earth working culture.
The Role
The Private Client team are looking to appoint a senior Private Client Lawyer (CILEx or qualified Solicitor) to take on some existing work, further expand the commercial reach in this region of Sussex and work very closely with the Head of Department in what is the firms largest team.
The work focuses on Wills, Estate planning and Trusts, with a separate team concentrating on probate. Many of the clients are HNW individuals, company directors, entrepreneurs, business / landowners as well as families and individual with complex estates to be managed. The role is a particularly key hire for the future success of the firms as well as the immediate team with the firm looking to take on an individual who will themselves be keen to join the partnership team.
The firm has made some excellent additions to the partnership team in recent years, providing a solid bedrock for the future of the firm.
Suitability
The position would suit a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least of 5/7 yrs PQE. You'd obviously consider yourself as competent in dealing with complex matters as outlined above, managing relationship with HNW clientele and the ability to develop and generate new relationships and business across the region. If you're an ambitious individual looking to move into a senior place of responsibility and take part in the future commercial direction of a practice this could be the role that provides that.
The role will develop into a leadership role, therefore someone who is an excellent communicator with great people skills in engaging with the team itself as well as business connections is essential.
