Position: Employment Solicitor/Associate (4PQE+)
Location: Cardiff/Swansea
Role: Full time
Salary: Up to £60,000

A new opportunity has come to market for an Employment Solicitor/Associate to join an expanding team at a Top 100 Law firm. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of employment law matters while playing a pivotal role in developing and growing your own team.

This is a great opportunity for those looking to take a step-up in their career.

What?
You will provide support to the Corporate Commercial team, handling diverse aspects of contentious and advisory employment law. Responsibilities include managing employment disputes, tribunal cases, and resolution strategies; advising clients on complex employment contracts, policies, and procedures; supporting businesses through TUPE transfers, restructures, and redundancy programs; and offering strategic HR advice on dismissals, grievances, and employee relations.

This position presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of the firm’s employment law practice, with the successful candidate taking a leading role in the development of the team as it grows.

You
Ideally, you will have the ability to manage and prioritise a significant workload, excellent time management skills, and the capacity to work independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and enthusiasm for business development opportunities are essential.

Why?
The firm’s retention rates speak for themselves, with around 75% of employees having been with them for over 3 years, more than half for over 5 years, and over a third for over 10 years.

The firm offers a competitive salary and bonus scheme, along with internal training and career development opportunities. Employees enjoy flexible working options, an enhanced sick pay scheme, and increasing annual leave with additional days at Christmas. Other benefits include life assurance, private medical cover (with the option to add family members), and a matched pension contribution.

With a supportive culture, great work-life balance, and opportunities for fast career progression, you'll gain responsibility earlier in your role.
