The Opportunity

An international law firm are looking for a Corporate Solicitor with 4 Years+ PQE and a broad transactional practice to join their market-leading corporate team in Birmingham.

This is a special opportunity – this team (which rarely hires at this level) are looking for a mid-level Associate who is looking to make the step up to Senior Associate, with full access to the Birmingham market’s most revered Corporate deal-makers, who will mentor and encourage you as you make your case for Partnership. From day 1 you will be given all the internal and external support and training you require to make your mark in the Birmingham corporate market.

The Role

You will come in as a Senior Associate, playing a key role within this Firm’s Corporate Midlands team, working for leading corporates and private equity funds on a broad range of high-value mandates spanning M&A, PE investments, Capital Markets, JVs and corporate structuring/ reorganisations.

You will be given the autonomy to run transactions – but always with Partners on-hand for support – and will be expected to help manage/supervise more junior members of the team. On particularly high-value or complex matters, you will work directly alongside this team’s Partners, some of the most well-known and respected in the Birmingham corporate market.

Business development will be actively encouraged – and you will be provided with all the firm and team’s resources to ensure you can make a success of such initiatives. A keenness to network and build your own connections in the local corporate finance market will be encouraged and supported at all levels.

This team are particularly active for leading Private Equity houses and work across various sectors including retail, manufacturing, recruitment, and education.

They are a team of 70 corporate lawyers nationally, and advise clients on all types of corporate activity across the UK and regularly advice on transactions with an international element.
