Job Title: Contentious Probate Solicitor
Location: Huddersfield
Experience: 2 years + PQE
There is a fantastic opportunity for a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join our clients Litigation Team, based in Huddersfield.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with Client work as allocated by the Solicitor in charge of the Litigation Team in accordance with the detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm’s Office Manual.
- Ensuring all Client work is progressed expeditiously, and that the Client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
- Exercising high standards of Client care at all times in a professional and pleasant manner.
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all the firm’s and Client documentation and information.
- Achieving agreed levels of billing and time recording.
- In conjunction with the firm to comply with the relevant training requirements of the Law Society and to assist with in-house training as may be required.
- In liaison with the Partners to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image.
- Undertaking any reasonable task as requested.
- Day-to-day handling of a wide variety of cases.
- Experience of running own case load and being able to pick up cases partway through.
Person specification – key skills/qualifications required:
- Admitted to the Solicitors’ Roll
- Experience in Contentious Probate Work and/or Litigation is a must have.
- Ideally 2+ years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE)
- Commitment to the ethos, values and strategy of the firm.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Computer and Word processing skills essential
- Organized and self-motivated with the ability to work within a team environment
