Restructuring/Insolvency Law Solicitor, min 5 yrs PQE, required by an international law firm to cover a period of maternity leave for 12 months.
Their highly rated Restructuring team advises financial institutions, turnaround and insolvency practitioners, company directors, shareholders and other stakeholders on strategies for recovery and turnaround. They also investigate causes of company failure and pursue claims against those responsible. They act for all major clearing banks as well as a wide variety of other lenders.
The team is increasingly becoming involved in complex, high value restructurings at an early stage in the financial decline curve, with the aim of providing innovative solutions which improve returns to stakeholders and, in many cases, avoid an insolvency process altogether. They are building an increasing reputation for their contentious practice too, having been instructed on a number of high profile assignments.
The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a City firm or large regional practice. Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach. They will also have a good academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
