Public Law & Judicial Review Solicitor - Senior Appointment
A top tier highly regarded full service national law firm is keen to expand its Private Wealth Team and so is eager to make a strategic appointment with the hire of a Public Law & Judicial Review Solicitor to be based at the firms' modern Birmingham city centre office.
This award-winning firm is particularly proud of its envied culture which promotes a transparent and collaborative ethos throughout the entire organisation. The firm is very much a meritocracy and does not operate a traditional pyramid structure and it most certainly discourages any attitudes of self-importance, preferring to actively encourage collaboration, cross-selling and general supportiveness across the entire organisation.
The Private Wealth Team specialises in dealing with tax planning, trusts and wealth protection initiatives on behalf of high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. Whilst this role would sit within the Private Wealth Team, you would also work alongside the firms' Clinical Negligence Team, Court of Protection and Educational Team meaning that you will be exposed to a very varied caseload.
The firm is ideally looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years' PQE although the practice is happy to consider appointments right through to Partner level. What is important is that you will have experience of dealing with public law, health and social care and education matters acting on behalf of patients and other vulnerable parties to ensure that their interests are protected. This firm is at the forefront of the sector and is regularly involved in influencing changes in the law in high profile matters so experience of undertaking judicial review is paramount.
What makes this opportunity unique is that this a new standalone role. Previously the firm has undertaken this work as part of a wider team function; however, the firm is now seeking to create an independent role to focus solely on this practice area meaning that this is a role that you can very much create as your own. The effect of this is that the opportunities for progression and development are limitless and the firm will certainly provide you with all of the support required to help you shape the department as you see fit.
This is the perfect opportunity for a public law solicitor who is keen to secure a role that is a bit different from the norm and who is keen to join a practice that can offer a different and innovative way of working, especially as this role will provide you with the freedom and autonomy to grow your practice area and really make your mark on the sector.
The remuneration package on offer is excellent and the firm is regularly recognised by a number of bodies as being one of the best practices to work for given its' strong reputation for providing one of the most open, supportive and collaborative environments around. The practice is also able to offer some flexibility with the working pattern given the various agile working initiatives that are currently in operation.
Opportunities to join such a prestigious firm and to develop a practice area are somewhat of a rarity, so for more information on this Public Law & Judicial Review Solicitor opportunity please contact Matt Robinson at QED Legal.
